Roland A-49 MIDI Keyboard Controller,
Review Overview.

I have been using Roland equipment in my home studio for well over 30 years and I think the quality of Roland kit is second to none. This Roland A-49 MIDI Keyboard Controller Review will show just how good this midi controller is.

Important:

This mother keyboard is used to play sounds from a separate sound library or your DAW software, it contains no sounds itself. It’s not a stand-alone keyboard for performing it is a Midi controller.

49 keys, it fits on your desk just under your computer monitor.

This keyboard has 49 full-size velocity sensitive keys and at only 83cm wide and 18cm deep it fits on a desk just under your computer monitor just right. This is one thing I like about using a 49 key Midi controller, it’s perfect for working on finding sounds and playing instruments like strings, synth sounds and effects.

Not only has the keyboard got 49 notes it also comes with an array of buttons knobs and wheels you can assign to the parameters you like to use the most within your DAW. Again all on your desk easily accessible.

Using the Roland A-49 Controller with your Mac/PC

The A-49 connects to your computer via a recessed rear USB socket.

Octave Buttons:

It has dedicated octave buttons to control the key signature, and a transpose button to adjusting the scale in semitone steps with LED indicators giving you instant visual information of your octave and transpose settings.

The Keyboard:

This Roland has the acclaimed Ivory Field G keyboard which really does feel great to play. It also has stable keyboard action which prevents the keys from twisting vertically and moving sideways.

The D-beam:

The D-beam lets you control the pitch volume or any parameter by waving your hand above the D-beam controller.

This is a really great Midi controller and I highly recommend it to the readers of https://thehomerecordingstudio.com/
